Man attacked with metal chair during party in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police say a man was taken to the hospital Sunday night after he was attacked with a metal chair.

Police say they met the victim in the area of Daily and Ross streets shortly after 6:30 p.m., however the incident occurred during a “large party” in the 500 block of Ross Street.

The victim was struck multiple times with a metal chair, police said. He was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center by ambulance with a head injury.

The suspect is described as a short, thin black male with a bald head who is about 44 or 45 years old. He was wearing a white shirt and blue pants at the time of the assault.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity is asked to call police at 229-3500.
