CARY, N.C. — The coach of an undefeated North Carolina high school soccer team has been charged with possessing child pornography, WNCN reported.

Robert Jules Peterson, 43, was reportedly arrested Saturday at his Cary home and charged with six counts of third degree exploitation of a minor.

Authorities told WNCN that the charges do not involve his students.

Peterson is the head coach of the Green Hope High School girls soccer team. He was also listed on the school’s website as a staff member of the social studies department.

The team won the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 4A state championship in May and finished the season undefeated, ranking number one in the nation.

He received a $50,000 secured bond and has court planned for Monday. No other details about the charges were released.
