Woman robbed at gunpoint at ATM in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a woman at gunpoint at an ATM in Winston-Salem.

The robbery was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday at the Cash Points ATM at 3583 North Patterson Ave.

The victim told police she was withdrawing money when the suspect appeared from behind the ATM, pointed a silver handgun at her and demanded money.

After receiving cash from the victim, the suspect ran away toward Leo Street.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 20 and 23 who stood between 5’4″ and 5’6″ tall and weighed about 150 pounds.  He was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.
