Burlington police seize cocaine, marijuana on 4th of July

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Operations conducted by law enforcement in Alamance County over the Fourth of July holiday resulted in the following traffic violations and charges:

Driving while impaired: 1

Driving while license revoked: 2

Possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine: 2

Manufacture cocaine: 2

Maintain vehicle for sale/delivery of a controlled substance: 1

Possession of marijuana: 3

Possession of drug paraphernalia: 3

Resisting public officer: 2

Assault on law enforcement officer: 1

Felony identity theft: 1

Probation violation/absconder: 2 (on same person)

Drugs Seized:

23.5 grams of “Crack” Cocaine

5.6 grams of Marijuana

US Currency Seized:

$1,002

“All in all I believe this was a very successful operation. We plan to conduct similar operations over the summer and beyond.” said, Cpl. R. A. Henderson with the Burlington Police Department, according to a prepared statement.
