Officials said nine people from South Carolina and a pilot died in a plane crash in Alaska, WSOC is reporting.

Around 11:20 a.m. Sunday, the Soldotna, Alaska, Police Department received a report of a plane crash at the town’s airport.

Emergency responders arrived to find an airplane fully engulfed in flames.

Police said the pilot is believed to be an Alaska resident. Police are working with S.C. authorities to identify and find next of kin.

The identities of the victims has not been released.
