Burger King worker accused of stealing from Burlington restaurant
BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police say an employee has been charged with breaking inside and stealing from a Burger King in Burlington.
According to police, employees at the Burger King at 2341 Maple Ave. reported on Wednesday that someone had broken inside the restaurant and stolen an unknown amount of cash.
As the result of an investigation, police say James Keith Trout was identified as a suspect in the break-in.
Trout is charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony embezzlement.
The suspect is being held in the Alamance County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
Police are still investigating the incident. They ask that anyone with additional information would call them at 229-3500.
