Crash snarls traffic on U.S. 52 South near Tobaccoville

TOBACCOVILLE, N.C. — DOT officials say a Tuesday morning wreck temporarily snarled traffic on a stretch of U.S. 52 South in Forsyth County.

Officials say the crash occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. at Moore-RJR Road (mile marker 122) near Tobaccoville.

The right southbound lane of the highway was closed and the left southbound lane of the highway was partially closed until about 7:30 a.m., officials said.

The stretch of highway remained congested for about half an hour after the lanes were reopened.

No other details about the wreck were available.
