Julie Grant is the new FOX8 News weekday morning news anchor, it was announced today by Karen Koutsky, Vice President of News at FOX8/WGHP.

Julie will join Brad Jones, Cindy Farmer, Kerry Charles and the entire FOX8 Morning News team.

Julie Grant’s first day on FOX8 will be Monday, June 10.

Julie comes to FOX8 from Steubenville, Ohio where she anchored the station’s weekday morning news show, contributed live reports for the noon show, and packaged reports for the evening shows. Julie left the station to obtain her law degree and for the past 3 years has been prosecuting criminals as an assistant district attorney in Pittsburgh, PA.

Julie Grant brings a unique blend of experience to broadcast news after working as both a television news anchor/reporter and prosecuting attorney.

“Julie has the beauty, brains and genuine charm that could have gotten her into much larger TV markets,” said Karen Koutsky, Vice President of News. “But, she loves it here in the Piedmont and we’re very fortunate to have someone with her talent join the FOX8 family. We know viewers are going to love her.”

Julie will join Cindy Farmer, Brad Jones, Kerry Charles and the rest of the FOX8 Morning News Team weekday mornings from 4:30 to 10 am. Julie will begin her new role on Monday, June 10th.
