Power restored to more than 2K after outage in Davidson County

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Power has been restored to more than 2,000 people in Davidson County after a large power outage Sunday caused by a transformer malfunction.

Duke Energy listed 2,804 without power by 2 p.m. The county was no longer listed on the website about an hour later.
