GREENSBORO, N.C. — Duke Energy officials say hundreds of Greensboro residents are affected by power outages that began Thursday morning.

According to Duke Energy, the outages began when trees fell on separate sets of power lines around 7:15 a.m.

About 115 customers are without power in the Lindley Park area, while about 1,000 people are without power in the area of Appomattox Road, officials said.
