Deputies: Suspect wanted in 6 Rockingham County break-ins

STONEVILLE, N.C. — Deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with half a dozen store break-ins across Rockingham County.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect in the above surveillance photo stole multiple cartons of cigarettes shortly after 3:45 a.m. Tuesday after breaking inside the Two Brothers Convenience Store at 6338 N.C. Highway 770 in Stoneville.

Deputies say they believe the same suspect is responsible for five other convenience store break-ins that occurred during the early-morning hours over the past several weeks.  Cigarettes were stolen during each of the break-ins, they said.

The other stores that were targeted include:

  • D & M Mart in Sandy Ridge — May 7
  • All in the Family Convenience Store in Eden — May 4
  • Parkview Mart in Eden — April 30
  • Red Birch Convenience Store in Madison — April 26
  • French’s Corner Store in Ruffin — April 15

Further details were not available.
