Winston-Salem to close some downtown streets for Bike Week Sunday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.–Want to enjoy riding our bike, walking or skating on the streets of Winston-Salem without the worry of traffic?

The city will close West Marshall, Salem and Poplar on May 19 from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. A 3/4 mile loop will be created in the area for people to enjoy without the worries of traffic.

Along with the closed streets, there will also be things like face painting, free bike helmets and check-ups for bikes.

The event is free.
