Pedestrian struck in Greensboro hit-and-run

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian early Tuesday in Greensboro.

According to police, the person was struck around 1 a.m. in the 4200 block of Romaine Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.

Police have not described the suspect vehicle.

Romaine Street was closed between Sellars and Baker Avenue for about an hour while authorities cleared the scene.

No other details have been provided.
