ST. STEPHENS, N.C. — A Catawba County middle school teacher has been suspended with pay after being accused of secretly videotaping down the shirts of female students.

WBTV reported that Scott William Grantham, 50, was arrested on Friday on two counts of felony secret peeping.

Grantham is an English as Second Language teacher at Arndt Middle School.

Catawba County Sheriff Coy Reid told WBTV that the suspect took a video camera and videoed down the blouses of two female students.

School officials said Grantham has been prohibited from being on any campus that is owned or operated by Catawba County Schools. They said he has also been banned from communicating with employees and students.

Authorities said the suspect is free on a $10,000 bond and it’s not known if he has an attorney.
