GREENSBORO, N.C. -- About 25 people teamed up to give a Reidsville woman with cancer a special surprise on Saturday.

Becky Curry works at the Citgo gas station on Randleman Road in Greensboro. She also has terminal lung cancer and no insurance.

So Citgo customers who know and love her got together to give her a “dream” meal – a steak dinner and an envelope with $200 in cash.

Curtis Douglas came up with the idea for the gift and said it was time for them to give back.

"To show her that we really appreciate her inspiration she does for people here, works here in spite of all the aches and pains she has,” he said, on why they organized the event.
