Tax increase for Alamance Co. expected in budget

GRAHAM, N.C. — Property tax could go up next year for Alamance County residents.

The Burlington Times-News reported that the County Manager Craig Honeycutt recommended a rate increase for 2014.

The county’s property tax is currently 52 cents per $100, down from 58 cents in 2010.

The county manager plans to present his proposal next month.
