BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police have identified a suspect who is wanted in connection with a pair of armed robberies and a vehicle theft that occurred within minutes of each other Saturday morning in Burlington.

Police are searching for 53-year-old Donnie Lee Eastwood on charges of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and motor vehicle theft.

According to police, Eastwood stole a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus with chipped and fading paint from the parking lot of the Biscuitville at 2065 North Church St. just after 8:45 a.m.

Shortly after 9 a.m., police allege Eastwood robbed Kens Quickie Mart at 1309 Rauhut St. while armed with a knife.

About five minutes later, police say Eastwood then robbed Grill Works at 1233 West Webb Ave.

The suspect was last seen driving the stolen car, which has NC tags reading “YTN-6381,” on West Webb Avenue, police said.

Eastwood is described as standing about 5’10” tall and weighing about 170 pounds.

Police say they identified Eastwood as the suspect after local media published information about the robberies.

Anyone with information about Eastwood’s whereabouts is asked to call police at (336) 229-3500 or Crimestoppers at 229-7100.
