HIGH POINT, N.C. -- High Point University hosted “LEGO Day” on Saturday for children in the community.
Elementary school students were paired with university students, who worked with the kids to create various projects using LEGOs.
HPU School of Education professor Dr. Shirely Disseler says the event appeals to children of all learning styles.
“A lot of our population of children now are very hands-on and they’re very visual in the way that they need to learn,” Disseler said. “The LEGO education product offer all things for the different learning styles.”
The North Carolina Science Festival helped organize the event.
