HIGH POINT, N.C. — The Go Out For A Run group is hosting its spring fun run and 5K event next month in High Point.
The one-mile fun run and 5K run/walk is slated for Saturday, May 11. The fun run will begin at 8:15 a.m., while the 5K will start at 9 a.m.
The Guilford County Department of Public Health will be on-site with educational booths and to provide free blood pressure screenings.
There are fees to register for both the fun run and 5K. Those who are interested can register in advance for $28 at gofarclub.org or on-site at the event. Race day registration will cost $35 and ends at 8:15 a.m.
GO FAR is a nonprofit group that offers comprehensive fitness programs for children across 13 states. Many elementary schools and some after-school programs in Guilford County offer the program.
