GREENSBORO, N.C. — UNC’s spring practice scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Grimsley High has been moved to Chapel Hill due to field conditions.

Inside Carolina reports the scrimmage will be moved to Kenan Stadium at 5 p.m. Friday.

After nearly two inches of rain fell across the Piedmont over the past two days, field conditions were deemed “unplayable and unsafe.”

“We certainly appreciate all the efforts Grimsley High School has made to try to accommodate our scrimmage, but after consulting with officials at the high school, we are all in agreement that it is best to hold the scrimmage in Chapel Hill,” said UNC head coach Larry Fedora.  “We have great fans in the Greensboro area and I’m disappointed we will not be able to practice there this evening.  However, the last thing we would want to occur is for someone to get hurt because of the playing surface.”

For those wanting to attend the scrimmage in Chapel Hill, parking is available in the Rams Head Deck.
