Silver Alert for Greensboro woman canceled

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Silver Alert that was issued early Friday for a 70-year-old Greensboro woman has been canceled.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued the alert shortly after 1 a.m. for Rosetta Chandler West, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Shortly after 8 a.m., police said West had been located and they were canceling the alert.

No other details were provided.

Before she was found, police said West had last been seen around 2 p.m. Thursday at 1200 North Elm St.  Police said she was driving a red 2002 Ford Explorer with Georgia tags and may have been headed toward Raleigh.
