Man robbed outside Burlington bank

BURLINGTON, N.C.– Police are looking for two suspects after a man was robbed outside of Suntrust Bank in Burlington on Friday afternoon.

The victim told police he was walking into the bank at 2221 Maple Ave. when a man approached him from behind and took a bank bag containing an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.

The victim struggled with the suspect, but was unsuccessful in his attempt to hold on to the bank bag.

The suspect got into a stolen silver Toyota Corolla driven by a woman, according to police. Officers discovered the vehicle shortly after the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10 with medium build and short hair.

His female accomplice has shoulder length braids with red stripes.
