Sun, chance of rain on tap for Easter weekend
A low pressure system will pass to our south late Friday night bringing clouds to the region overnight. It may also produce a shower over the extreme southern counties of our coverage area, mainly south of Denton and Asheboro.
By late morning Saturday, skies will clear out and we should have a nice Saturday afternoon.
Another system will arrive on Sunday and that will bring more showers and possibly an afternoon thunderstorm. This moisture will then exit the area on Sunday evening.
A nice day will follow on Monday and then another cold front moves our way Monday night with showers. Behind this cold front, temperatures will slip to the upper 40s to near 50 on Tuesday. Clouds will hang around along with the chance for some drizzle.
Wednesday the sun returns and temperatures will remain chilly. Lows back to near freezing and highs only in the low to mid 50s for Wednesday and Thursday.
