Two wanted in Oxford shooting, man shot three times

OXFORD, N.C. – Oxford police said they are searching for two suspects in connection with a shooting Saturday night.

WTVD reported that the 26-year-old male victim was shot around 8:40 p.m. in the 100 block of High Street.

Police said the victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. His identity has not been released.

Authorities said the victim was walking along the street when two men pulled up beside him.

Officials said they believe the victim knew the suspects and the three got into an argument before the man was shot three times.

Witnesses described the suspects’ vehicle as an older model Nissan sedan with a light green top.
