Family of 9 displaced after house fire
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The American Red Cross is helping a family of 9 after their home burned this morning.
The fire happened shortly before 9 a.m. on West 25th Street.
Fire officials say two adults and two children were treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation but were not taken to the hospital.
A dog was rescued from the basement of the home. He is expected to be okay.
Officials did not say what started the fire.
