RAEFORD, N.C. – Police said they have finished their investigation of marks on an infant’s leg after he left a Raeford daycare and found no evidence of any abuse.

WTVD reported that Amy Sauls claimed earlier this month after she said she noticed red marks on her son’s leg when she picked him up from the Children’s Developmental Center in the 300 block of Wooley Street.

Sauls said she took the child to the emergency room and Urgent Care where doctors told her they could be pressure marks.

Investigators told WTVD Monday the marks could have been caused by a wide variety of things, including a rash, buckle or car seat. They called the abuse allegation unfounded.
