Greensboro police add additional patrol officers for St. Patrick’s Day
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro police said they have added additional patrol officers downtown to control excess crowds between ACC visitors and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
In addition to the 24 patrol officers on the central division, 10-14 extra officers will be downtown until 3 a.m.
Captain Joel Cranford said he hopes the extra presence will deter disturbances. He said he hopes people coming down will be responsible and make a plan to get home.
