Four-year-old shot in Apex

APEX, N.C.– Police are investigating the accidental shooting of a 4-year-old child in Apex, WTVD reports.
The incident happened just after 2 p.m., when the child was shot in the lower leg.
According to the report, the child was playing in a car parked in the driveway of a home with a sibling when it happened. There were no adults in the car at the time. The children’s parents were inside the home.
The child’s injuries are non-life threatening.
