LINWOOD, N.C. — Three home break-in suspects were arrested Monday after deputies say they led them on a chase on I-85 in Davidson County.
According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, officers on Monday responded to a report of a home break-in in progress on Jersey Church Road.
Deputies say the suspect vehicle was leaving the scene as they arrived. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled onto I-85 South toward Rowan County.
When the suspect vehicle approached N.C. Highway 150 South, deputies say two male suspects jumped out of the moving vehicle and ran into the woods. The two suspects were taken into custody a short time later.
Deputies say the suspect vehicle continued heading south on I-85 until coming to a stop in the center divide near the Yadkin River bridge. A female suspect who was driving the vehicle then got out and tried to run from the scene, but she was caught a short distance away, deputies said.
Property that was reported stolen from the home on Jersey Church Road was recovered from inside the vehicle, deputies said.
The suspects were identified as Jarmarphio Shantez Moose, 30, of Kannapolis, Tracy Dewayne Andrews Jr. of Charlotte, and Shamika Chantay Clinkscale of Kannapolis.
All three suspects are charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and larceny of a firearm. Moose and Andrews also face charges of possession of a firearm by a felon.
The suspects were each jailed under $150,000 secured bonds.
