Burlington man killed in hit-and-run along I-40/85 Westbound

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Authorities said a man is dead after a hit-and-run along the highway early Saturday morning in Burlington.

Officials said Rodney Link, 26, of Burlington, was walking along I-40/85 Westbound near the Hwy 62 exit when he was hit and killed by an unknown driver around 1:48 a.m.

Authorities said Link was walking from his stopped car. The highway patrol said they do not have a description of the car or truck that hit him.
