Tanglewood Park loses 400-year-old tree

CLEMMONS, N.C.–Tanglewood Park has lost its beloved White Oak Tree.

The tree was located near the Tanglewood Manor House, fell over on Wednesday due to high winds, according to park officials.

The oak tree, also known as the “Wedding Tree”, was estimated to be around 400-years-old, and stood at 118′ tall, with a width of 130 ft. It was often used for weddings and special events.
