WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest upset No. 2 Miami in a 80-65 victory Saturday afternoon at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem.

The unexpected win caused fans to storm the court and throw toilet paper all over campus.

Senior CJ Harris was a perfect 5 for 5 from the three point range and had 15 points as the Deacons built a 13-point lead at the half.

Wake Forest ended Miami’s 14 game winning streak.

“When you go to as many games as possible eventually you're going to get a really unbelievable upset like this, and it's even more exciting the be there when it happens,” said WFU senior Meg Miles.

Forward Aaron Roundtree III said the team approached the game no differently than before but were able to make this one a big win by 15 points.

"Seeing everybody together, we're a big family and we've been through a lot of adversity and we made it through just hopefully we'll build off this and keep winning," Roundtree said.

Maintenance staff said the toilet paper the fans threw all over campus is not going anywhere anytime soon. Last time the quad was tee-peed from the NC State game it was filled for more than a week.
