Cardiovascular disease accounts for nearly one in three deaths in the nation, according to the American Heart Association.

The risk of heart disease and stroke can be reduced with proper diet.  For example, the American Heart Association says eating as little as two servings of fish a week contributed to a 36 percent reduction in deaths from a sudden heart attack.
