Wake County mother says schools not doing enough to control Internet porn, violence

RALEIGH, N.C. –A mother in Raleigh says Wake County schools aren’t doing enough to keep pornographic and violent content off school computers, The News and Observer reports.

The woman took her fight to the school board meeting this week, where she showed members a YouTube video she made showing sexually explicit and violent material she says she found while using a computer at one of the county’s elementary school computers, where her children reportedly attend school.

The woman’s unconventional approach may have worked, as school board members asked system administrators to look into the issue she raised.
