Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program underway in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is underway in High Point.

IRS-certified volunteers are offering free tax preparations for low- to moderate-income individuals.  Household incomes for residents of the High Point area must be $51,000 or less.

Tax preparation is available six days a week on a first-come, first-serve basis at three sites:

• the Macedonia Family Resource Center at 401 Lake Ave.
• the West End Community Center at 903 English Road
• the Community and Neighborhood Development Center at 201 Fourth St.
