Texas woman calls 911 to ask for cigarettes

Authorities in Texas say a 48-year-old woman was “very intoxicated” when she called 911 to have cigarettes delivered to her home, The Associated Press reports.

Instead of cigarettes, the woman received a visit from deputies who arrested her.

She was charged with a misdemeanor count of abuse of 911 and released from jail on  $1,000 bond, according to the report.

The woman says she thought the prank would be amusing.
