KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – Authorities said a teenage driver, his adult passenger and three other juveniles were injured after crashing into a tree Saturday morning in Kernersville.

Police said the incident was reported around 7:38 a.m. near the intersection of West Mountain Street and Weeping Lane.

Officials said the 16-year-old Lexington boy driving left the side of the road in a white 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV.

Authorities in Kernersville said the driver, a 41-year-old male passenger and three other juveniles, all from Lexington, were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Police said the wreck is still under investigation by the Kernersville Police Department Traffic Team.
