Woman steals $40 in gas, hits clerk with car

HICKORY, N.C. — A Hickory woman is accused of hitting a store clerk with her car after  after stealing $40 worth of gas, WSOC reports.

Police said the woman stole the gas from a Hess station before running over the clerk’s foot, then hitting the clerk with her rearview mirror, according to the report.

The woman has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and larceny of gas.
