WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are searching for two suspects after a group was robbed and held at gunpoint during a home burglary in Winston-Salem.
The incident was reported shortly before 10:45 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Rosedale Circle.
One of the victims told police she answered a knock at her door when she was confronted by two men who were wearing ski masks and armed with handguns.
Police say the suspects pushed their way inside and took the victim’s wallet before moving a second occupant of the home to the dining room. A third victim was upstairs in her bedroom at the time, but was unaware of what was happening, police said.
One of the suspects then held the victims at gunpoint while the second suspect took items from the downstairs bedroom area, police said. The suspects then left through the front door and fled in an unknown direction.
Officers used a K-9 in an attempt to track the suspects, but they were not located.
Both suspects are described as black males weighing about 160 lbs. One stood about 5’9″ tall, while the other stood about 6′ tall. They were both wearing all black clothing with gloves and ski masks and were both armed with black handguns.
No injuries were reported.
Anyone with further information about the incident is asked to call Crimestoppers at 727-2800.
