Police: Woman shoots intruder during home break-in in Mooresville

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A Mooresville woman reportedly shot a man who was breaking into her home.

According to WSOC, the woman shot the man twice in the leg on Sunday morning when he was breaking into her apartment on Colonial Ridge Circle.

WSOC reports the suspect was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Police tell WSOC it appears the man and woman may have known each other, according to the station.
