HIGH POINT, N.C. — A service dog that went missing last month is back home after he was captured in a trap early Monday morning.

'Snickers' the Labradoodle was reported missing on Jan. 14. Community members have been searching for the dog since last month.

Bobby Farrington said Snickers was captured in a dog trap at 221 Spencer Rd. around 7:30 a.m.

The dog's owner, Rebecca Pugh, took Snickers to a veterinarian this morning to be checked out.

Jessica Wishnew posted this message on Facebook:

"Welcome home snickers!!! The little stinker went right into one of the traps overnight. He is on his way to the vet for a thorough check up. We'll update more once we have information. Meet and greet to be scheduled once he gets the hang of being at home!!!"

A single dad with two kids will collect the $1,000 reward, according to Bobby Farrington.
