CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have arrested a man who allegedly assaulted a Walmart employee inside the store on Wednesday.
According to the Charlotte Observer, Pedro Julio Rucci, 53, was stopped by Monroe police for carrying a concealed weapon hours before officials say he sexually assaulted a victim on Wednesday.
According to the paper, officers have no evidence he planned to use the gun found in the car in a sexual assault, though it allegedly took place just minutes later.
Rucci was charged with sexual battery and resist, delay and obstruction of justice.
