NCCU names first woman chancellor

Durham, N.C. — The University of North Carolina Board of Governors named U.S. Department of Education official Debra Saunders-White as the new Chancellor of North Carolina Central University, according to WRAL.

She is the school’s first female leader and its 11th chancellor.

Her first day is June 1.
