Convenience store robbed in Greensboro, suspect sought

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a convenience store in Greensboro.

Police say they responded shortly before 2:45 a.m. Thursday to the Sam’s Mart at 2906 South Elm-Eugene Street.

A clerk told officers that the suspect entered the store and robbed it “by making threats,” police said.

The suspect then ran away.  He was last seen heading south on South Elm-Eugene Street.

The suspect is described as a white male with a black and gray beard between the ages of 50 and 60 standing 5’7″ tall and weighing between 130 and 140 lbs.  He was wearing a black knit cap, a green military-style jacket and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
