Years after bankruptcy, ex-Pace Airlines workers finally in line for payday
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. –After a 3-year-long legal case, 421 former Pace Airline employees were approved to receive compensation for going up to six weeks without pay before the company shut down in September 2009, the Winston-Salem Journal reports.
The employees initially stayed with the airline for weeks before it shut down, amidst fears that the company’s officials would try to deny their unemployment benefits, according to the report.
The company was forced into Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in January 2010.
