Woman killed in Raleigh train accident

RALEIGH —A woman was killed on Wednesday when an Amtrak train collided with her SUV in the vicinity of Hoke St. and Hammaon Rd. in Raleigh, the News & Observer reports.

She was the only occupant of the vehicle.

The train involved in the crash was Amtrak train 79, the Carolinian, running from New York to Charlotte, according to the report.

Police are still investigating.
