Man trapped while cutting trees in Randolph County

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A man cutting trees was injured after officials said the tree fell and trapped his legs underneath Saturday afternoon in Randolph County.

The Asheboro Courier-Tribune reported that it happened around 2:45 p.m. at 7153 High Pine Church Road off Lassiter Mill Road when an unidentified 38-year-old man was cutting a tree.

Authorities said the victim was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. His condition was not released.
