Heavy rains, wind in Forsyth County

WINSTON-SALEM —Strong winds and heavy rain brought Winston-Salem to a crawl on Wednesday evening.

City workers and Duke Energy crews were on standby throughout the evening, in anticipation of down trees and power lines.

Emergency officials say no major problems have been reported, but they are keeping an eye on areas known to flood.
