Roy’s Folks: Jim the Fiddler
MOUNT AIRY, N.C. — 2013 marks the 25th year Roy Ackland has introduced us to the people we call Roy’s Folks.
Over the years, he’s met many a musician and most give full credit for the beautiful music they make to two things — their instrument and their family.
Jim Vipperman and his fiddle are a testament to that.
Jim operates Vips Violins in Mount Airy, where he sells and repairs all types of stringed instruments in addition to providing lessons.
