Corning to cut 100 NC positions

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Corning Inc. announced it will cut 100 salaried positions from its North Carolina plants.  Corning Inc. has announced that it is cutting 100 salaried positions from its plants in North Carolina.

According to the StarNews of Wilmington, it remains unclear which plants will be affected.

The company has plants in Wilmington, Concord and Hickory.

Last October, the company cut 500 positions across the globe, citing the troubled economy.
